When the book of Jeremiah first appeared, it was cut to pieces and burned. It was rewritten and is now a book more that twenty-five hundred years old. It is a precious book gibing rich reward for the faith and life of every thoughtful reader. Jeremiah speaks the Word of the Lord to us today. God pronounces judgment against the evil of man’s heart reflected in the social, political, and economic arenas of life. Yet God also proclaims a rich message of hope and encouragement to live as sojourners in the world while sharing the Gospel of Salvation in Christ Jesus.00 -
