Synopsis:
|
|
Daniel is an early example of a type of literature – apocalyptic literature – that became common among Jewish people at the close of the Old Testament era. As an apocalyptic book, Daniel has certain features in common with similar works, including Revelation and many non-biblical writings. This study of Daniel aims to help God’s people today 1) to develop an appreciation for the type of literature contained in Daniel: 2) to understand how God communicated to us His message of judgment and salvation in Daniel. 3) to appreciate the message of Daniel as primarily one of encouragement to remain steadfast in their faith. -
